Every year, the Student Body invites a couple of guest lecturers to visit the valley to talk about their careers allow them to lead lives of service. Just last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming Ayesha Khan and her husband, Varun Gauri, along with their three children.
Ayesha is a litigator in Washington, D.C. Throughout her career she has worked with the ACLU National Prison Project, Americans United for Separation of Church and State, and the US DOJ. She is currently a partner with the Potomac Law Group in D.C. She has worked on over thirty-five Supreme Court cases.
Varun is a Senior Economist at the World Bank and currently co-leads the Mind, Behavior, and Development Unit. His work focuses on integrating behavioral science into development economic policy. Varun is by no means a newcomer to Deep Springs. He first visited the valley in 1995 when he taught a Summer Seminar with David Neidorf.
