The Withrow Endowments: Many alumni are aware that when alumnus Jim Withrow (DS’27) donated endowment funds to the college, he restricted them to carrying out the purpose indicated in the Deed of Trust. These endowed funds represent approximately 7% of our total endowment. Deep Springs has also petitioned the court to find that the potential admission of women to Deep Springs would not violate the terms of Withrow’s restrictions.
